LOWER SCHOOL PARENT/CONFERENCE SIGN-UP SHEETS AVAILABLE TONIGHT IN ATRIUM
The Parent/Conference Sign-Up Sheets for Lower School will be posted on the bulletin board in the Atrium beginning tonight during Math Night.  Please stop by and sign up.
Reminder to the Middle School parents, if you would like a conference time, you need to contact your student’s homeroom teacher.

FACULTY/STAFF APPRECIATION LUNCHEON – TUESDAY, MARCH 16
The FPA will be hosting the Faculty/Staff Appreciation Luncheon on Tuesday, March 16.  We need lots of help to make this a special and relaxing time for our faculty and staff.
   Set up: 10:00 – 11:30 AM
   Greeters/Servers: 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
   Lunch Helpers: 12:20-12:50 PM - 1-2 parents in each classroom - Lower School – Pre-K – Grade 4
   12:15-1:00 PM - Minimum of 2 parents for each classroom – Middle School – Grades 5 & 6
   Recess Help:  11:50 AM – 12:20 PM – 4 parents – Lower School
   Clean Up:  1:00 – 1:30 PM

We also need salads and desserts to be prepared.  Paper goods (cups, plates, napkins, plastic forks, knives and spoons), ice, and centerpieces will also be needed. REMINDER TO PARENTS
For the safety of all students, please do not drop students off at the Gazebo before 7:45 AM when teachers and staff begin their carpool duty.  Thank you.

PASTRIES FOR PARENTS AND FPA MEETING, FRIDAY, MARCH 12
We hope that all parents will be able to join us for our next Pastries for Parents Friday, March 12 beginning at 7:45 AM.  Please plan to stay for the FPA meeting that will be held immediately following Friday Morning Assembly.

HOT LUNCHES
Fourth Presbyterian School offers students the option of purchasing hot lunches for one, two, or three days each week.  Please find the 2010 Spring Hot Lunches Order Form coming home in today’s Thursday folder.  These lunches will begin April 6, 2010.  To participate in the Hot Lunch program, your form(s) and payment will need to be received by Friday, March 19, 2010.

FOURTH SCHOOL YEARBOOKS – ORDERS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THURSDAY, MARCH 25, 2010
If you haven’t ordered your yearbooks yet, now is the time to place your order.  You and your students will not want to miss out on this excellent publication which will highlight students, faculty, staff, and the numerous activities from this school year.  If you need another order form, they are available in the main office.

Cost $40 – no increase from last year for a hardcover, colorful book of memories from the 2009-10 school year.

FOURTH SCHOOL – STUDENT ARTWORK ON DISPLAY AT DAVIS LIBRARY
A selection of student artwork completed by our fourth graders is on display during the month of March on the bulletin board in the Children’s section of the Davis Library.  Included are a few color collages for the primary colors, secondary colors, black and white as well as the acrostic that were published in The Potomac Almanac.

ATTENTION PARENTS!  SCHOOL SCHEDULE CHANGE
Friday, March 26 will now be an EARLY RELEASE DAY for students. Dismissal will be at 12:00 PM with no lunch.  Parent conferences will be held in afternoon or at other times throughout the week of March 22-26.  Teachers will work to coordinate convenient times with the parents.  Our regular After School Care (ASC) program will still be available.

Drop-in childcare will also be available for Fourth School students only during the afternoon of March 26 to allow parents to attend their parent/teacher conferences.  For the week of March 22-26, this drop-in childcare will also be available during our After School Care program hours for Fourth students only IF your conference(s) is scheduled after school.  Keep in mind, to use this drop-in childcare, your last conference would need to end by 5:50 PM.  The cost will be $5.00 per student.  Please fill out the form that came home in last week’s Thursday folder and turn it in by Monday, March 22, if you need this service.

SPRING AUCTION, SATURDAY, MAY 1
DONATIONS NEEDED
Calling all parents:  Please be thinking about what you might donate, or who you can ask to donate an item, to our 2010 Auction to benefit the sports programs at Fourth School.  Donor forms are available in the front office for your use.  Keep a couple in your car in case you need them!  You may contact Linda Yau or Kelley Essepian for more information.

ADVERTISEMENTS IN THE AUCTION PROGRAM
PLEASE ADVERTISE YOUR BUSINESS OR PUT A PERSONAL AD IN THE 2010 AUCTION PROGRAM!  Deadline for ad copy is Thursday, March 25, 2010.  Please find a flyer in today's Thursday folders.  Consider asking family and friends to advertise also!  Each family at the school will be receiving the program in April and every person at the auction will receive a program, so it is great publicity for your business.  Any questions?  Email Linda Yau at LTL6@yahoo.com.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS BANQUET – THURSDAY, MAY 20:  Please mark your calendars for the Middle School Sports Banquet.  All Fourth School Middle School athletes and their families will be invited to this banquet that will be held in the Upper Room of Fourth Church beginning at 7:00 PM.  More details coming.

SUMMER PROGRAMS INFORMATION & REGISTRATION FORMS AVAILABLE ONLINE

CHAPEL TALKS
Our school theme for the 2009-10 year is “Learning and Living the Faith.”  This week John Murray answered the questions:  “What are the seventh and eighth commandments?”

STREP THROAT NOTIFICATION
