TOMORROW – FRIDAY, MARCH 19 – EARLY DISMISSAL – NOON
The students will be dismissed at noon tomorrow, with no lunch, so that faculty can prepare progress reports. Our regular After School Care (ASC) program will still be available beginning at noon and ending at 5:50 PM. Students who will be staying for After Care will need to bring their lunch.
HOT LUNCHES – ORDERS NEED TO BE RECEIVED BY TOMORROW, MARCH 19
Fourth School offers students the option of purchasing hot lunches for one, two, or three days each week. Please find the 2010 Spring Hot Lunches Order Form coming home again in today’s Thursday Folder. These lunches will begin April 6, 2010. To participate in the Hot Lunch program, your form(s) and payment will need to be received by TOMORROW, Friday, March 19, 2010.
FOURTH SCHOOL YEARBOOKS – ORDERS MUST BE RECEIVED BY NEXT THURSDAY, MARCH 25TH
If you haven’t ordered your yearbooks yet, they needed to be ordered by NEXT Thursday, March 25th. You and your students will not want to miss out on this excellent publication which will highlight students, faculty, staff, and the numerous activities from this school year. If you need another order form, they are available in the main office.
Cost $40 – no increase from last year for a hardcover, colorful book of memories from the 2009-10 school year.
Online orders will be taken until Monday, April 5th.
NEXT THURSDAY, MARCH 25 – TERRIFIC THURSDAY – MARCH MADNESS THEME
Next Thursday we will have “Terrific Thursday” because of early dismissal next Friday. This is an out of uniform day for students. We will be having a March Madness theme, so students can wear their favorite team’s apparel—hats, shirts, sweatshirts, etc. Terrific Thursday March Madness will take place from 11:15 AM – 12:20 PM. All students will have lunch at 12:20 PM.
NEXT THURSDAY, MARCH 25 - NEW GYM GROUNDBREAKING – 2:15 PM
Please join us as the whole school comes together in honor of this exciting event. We will gather outside at 2:15 PM for prayer, thanks, and celebration for God’s provision of our new facility.
NEXT FRIDAY, MARCH 26 – EARLY DISMISSAL - NOON
Dismissal will be at 12:00 PM with no lunch. Parent conferences will be held that afternoon or at other times throughout the week of March 22-26. Our regular After School Care (ASC) program will still be available.
Drop-in childcare will also be available for Fourth School students only during the afternoon of March 26 to allow parents to attend their parent/teacher conferences. For the week of March 22-26, this drop-in childcare will also be available during our After School Care program hours for Fourth students only IF your conference(s) is scheduled after school. Keep in mind, to use this drop-in childcare, your last conference would need to end by 5:50 PM. The cost will be $5.00 per student. Please fill out the form that came home in last week’s Thursday folder and turn it in by Monday, March 22, if you need this service.

EARLY BIRD TICKETS
The early bird rate applies until April 1, so please RSVP now and help support the school gym. It will be a fun filled night out for parents, grandparents, faculty, and staff at the Bethesda Country Club. See below for some of the bidding opportunities.

Calling all parents: Please be thinking about what you might donate, or who you can ask to donate an item, to our 2010 Auction to benefit the sports programs at Fourth School. Donor and auction catalogue forms are available in the front office or on the website @ www.fourthschool.org/campus-life/parents for your use. Keep a couple in your car in case you need them! TALENT SHOW – NOW SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, MAY 21
Just a reminder that Field Day and the Talent Show have now been scheduled for Friday, May 21. We will have Field Day from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM and the Talent Show will take place from 1:00-3:00 PM.
TALENT SHOW DETAILS
Our newly revamped Talent Show is open to all current students. All acts must be previewed and approved by school staff. Previews will be held April 23 and 30 after dismissal. Any approved individual or group acts may not exceed three minutes in length. Forms to submit your acts for preview will be sent home after Spring Break. We are excited to see our students’ great creativity and talent!
OUTDOOR PLAY
With the return of the warm weather, it is time to remind your students that the same rules apply after school as they do during recess. Also, keep in mind that bugs and insects return with the warmer temperatures. You may want to protect your students by having them wear bug repellant daily.
