    In September, I had the opportunity to lead our seventh and eighth graders on a three-day leadership trip to Washington, D.C., to examine the powerful influences of media and government and the importance of moral leadership in these fields.

    Little did we know how relevant this topic would be given the recent Republican presidential debates or the speeches given by Presidents Bush and Obama on 9/11.
