Our English language, vocabulary and grammar curriculum helps students develop a knowledge of grammar and vocabulary as one basis of understanding the English language and the means of expressing ideas.

Our curriculum engages students in word study, helping them experience the pleasure of learning word histories, the different meanings and uses of words, and the enjoyment of nuance.

The curriculum also encourages them to know and appreciate the rich, constantly changing history of language, and the peoples and cultures that have contributed to English as we know it today.

We want our students to experience the delight of using the marvelous gift of language that God gave exclusively to people.

We also want students to know and use the biblical principles that shape language, and to use it to communicate with God and others - doing so with a conscious understanding that this is God’s will and purpose for language, and understanding that all language has purpose, an audience, and that it conveys meaning.
